New CDS Directions issued!

Reserve Bank of India has issued the Master Direction on Credit Default Swaps (“CDS Directions”).

The CDS Directions will govern the transactions undertaken in over-the-counter derivatives and recognised stock exchanges.

The CDS Directions will be in effect from 9th May 2022 and will be in supersession of Guidelines on Credit Default Swaps (CDS) for Corporate Bonds issued in 2013. Early last year draft directions on the same were released.
